Garden print
Did you know that there are more microorganisms in a teaspoon of garden soil than there are people on Earth? Imagine how many living things are touching you when you plant a plant.
Having a garden full of all sorts of things is really important for the wildlife around us – from suburban megafauna like birds, to the creatures we can only see through a microscope.
Whether it’s a self-maintaining yard of weeds or a well-planned forest of flowers, as long as its full of all sorts of plants and you mostly leave it alone, it’ll be great for critters of all sizes.
Creatures need places to sleep, keep their babies safe, find mates and eat food. Just like us really. Leaving the ecosystem to do its thing, and only stepping in if one plant is threatening to take over, is a great start to creating healthy garden habitat. No sprays or fertilisers needed.
Embrace the wildness.
